Mechanism of Action[edit]

For Insomnia:
- Initial Dose: 0.25 mg orally once a day at bedtime.
- Maintenance Dose: 0.125 to 0.25 mg orally once a day at bedtime.
- Maximum Dose: 0.5 mg/day.
Elderly or Debilitated Patients:
- Initial Dose: 0.125 mg orally once a day at bedtime.
- Maintenance Dose: 0.125 to 0.25 mg orally once a day at bedtime.
- Maximum Dose: 0.25 mg/day.
